Consultations
Why do I need a consultation?
A consultation accomplishes the following:
1. It allows you to become acquainted with your surgeon.
2. It allows your surgeon to obtain and review acceptable X-Rays, most likely digital x-rays, to plan your surgery safely.
3. It gives your surgeons time to review your medical/dental histories and modify your treatment or medications to optimize your treatment.
4. It allows time to explain the pros and cons of surgery and answer your questions.
5. It allows discussion of light office sedation techniques or hospital anesthesia in order to accomplish your surgery with comfort and safety.
6. It allows you time to review the consent forms you will sign and have all your questions answered and your concerns addressed.
7. It allows time for our office to contact your physician, dentist, or specialists if more detailed information is required.
8. It ensures that enough time is booked for your treatment appointment to accomplish your surgery without rushing.
